LSU received a commitment five-star center Xavier Young and the 16-year-old will reclassify into the 2027 class for head coach Will Wade, multiple outlets reported.
By landing the 6-foot-10 post player, LSU now has three five-star recruits headed to Baton Rouge, La., for 2027, which gives the Tigers the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, according to ESPN.
LSU’s 2027 class includes five-star guards Reese Alston and King Gibson, along with four-star forward Ahmad Hudson to go along with Young, who helped the United States’ U-17 team to the FIBA World Cup gold medal at Turkey this past summer.
