Stirtz took eight of his 10 shots from 3-point range, making three of them.Iowa shot 37.8% from the field overall (17 of 45), 30.4% from 3-point range (7 of 23) and committed 11 turnovers.Trailing 46-27 with 15:54 remaining in the game, Iowa chipped away, cutting Michigan State’s lead to 48-35 with 14:09 left after a 3-pointer by Stirtz.But Michigan State had an answer, using a 10-2 run to take a 62-40 lead with 6:56 left.
